Where Athina AD is offered. Athina AD accounts and plans are offered only to individuals resident in, and organisations established in, the United States, Canada or Mexico. The service is not offered to customers elsewhere. OMAC (FZE), based in the UAE, makes and operates Athina AD. Paid plans are sold by OMAC's authorised reseller, AI For The Blind Corporation, as the Terms of Sale explain. This document is provided in English. This market restriction does not waive any rights or obligations that applicable law requires.
Athina AD is made and run by OMAC (FZE) ("OMAC", "we"). We respect copyright and expect our users to do the same. Our Terms of Use allow users to upload only videos they have the right to use. This policy explains how copyright owners can report infringing material, how users can respond, and what we do about repeat infringers. It follows the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), and we apply the same process to notices from any country.
1. Copyright contact
Send copyright notices to OMAC’s designated agent:
Copyright Contact, OMAC (FZE) Block B, Office B58-111, Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park University City, P.O. Box 66636 Sharjah, United Arab Emirates Email: dmca@onemoreaicompany.com Telephone: +971 50 596 7665
Please use the subject line "Copyright Notice" when sending copyright requests. Email is the fastest way to reach our designated agent. For other questions, contact support@athinaad.com and use a subject that describes your request.
2. Reporting infringement
If you believe material on Athina AD infringes your copyright, send a written notice that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorised to act for the owner;
- the copyrighted work you say is infringed (or, if one notice covers several works, a representative list);
- the material you say is infringing, and enough information for us to find it — for example a link, the account email, a file name or the date it was processed;
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Please do not include passwords or payment card details. If a notice is incomplete, we may ask you for the missing information.
Be accurate. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material false statement that material is infringing may be liable for damages. Before sending a notice, consider whether the use may be permitted by law, for example as fair use.
3. What we do with a notice
When we receive a complete notice, we act promptly. We may remove or disable access to the material, tell the user concerned, and send them a copy of the notice (including your name and contact details, so that they can respond). We keep records of notices as our Privacy Policy describes.
4. Counter-notice: if your material was removed
If you believe material you uploaded was removed or disabled by mistake or because it was misidentified, you may send a counter-notice to our copyright contact (Section 1) that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the material that was removed or disabled, and where it appeared before;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number;
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the US Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, of any judicial district in which OMAC may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
When we receive a complete counter-notice, we send a copy to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have started a court action to stop the infringement, we restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice, where restoring it is technically possible.
Knowingly making a material false statement in a counter-notice may also make you liable for damages.
5. Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright, in appropriate circumstances. We count a valid notice against an account unless it was withdrawn or successfully answered by a counter-notice. We may also suspend or close an account after a single serious infringement. Closing an account is always decided by a person.
6. Other countries
If you are outside the United States, you can use the same process. We will also respond to valid requests under the law of your country, such as a court order.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The version and date at the top show the current version.
